Parsippany, N.J., June 2, 2009 – Daniele Cervino, has been selected to be a member of the Bergen LEADS Class of 2010.

Bergen LEADS is a 10-month learning and leadership program for adults who are dedicated to Bergen County and represent the rich diversity of the County through their work, civic activities and personal qualities who live or work in Bergen County.  She will participate in a class of 30 men and women from diverse backgrounds who meet monthly to discuss and develop approaches to community problems.  

Ms. Cervino is Senior Vice President and General Counsel with EWMA.  With her law degree, environmental experience and insurance producer license, she has facilitated numerous real estate and business transactions and litigation settlements involving significant environmental issues.  Ms. Cervino’s professional service has been recognized as recipient of the 2008 Economic Outlook Business Development Award by Morris County Chamber of Commerce, Real Estate New Jersey Magazine for “Women of Influence in Real Estate” in 2007 and 2008 and Women’s Fund of New Jersey Award 2003, Honoring Women in Real Estate.

Additionally, her community service includes Teacher at New York University Real Estate Masters Course on Environmental Due Diligence, Member, American Bar Association, Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law, Member, New Jersey State Bar Association, Director of Environmental Law Committee, Member, Bergen County Bar Association, Chair of Environmental Law Committee, and Chair, Bogota Environmental Commission (2000 – 2007).  As Chair of Bogota Environmental Commission the Borough has been listed as a Tree City USA by NJDEP since 2001 and sponsored Arbor Day, Earth Day and Community Tree Trimming Activities.

Ms. Cervino is widely published and frequently asked to speak on timely topics relating to environmental issues.
