Engineering Services, Vapor Intrusion

EWMA’s approach to evaluate vapor intrusion leverages our more than 25 years of technical experience in source assessment, investigation, and remediation, as well as a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements. Our experienced geologists, environmental scientists, and engineers seamlessly work to first develop a comprehensive conceptual site model before undertaking vapor remediation system design and implementation of tasks.   EWMA can design and install these systems, offering turnkey services and utilizing our in-house staff.

Indoor Air Quality Evaluations
We have conducted hundreds of state-of-the-art, indoor air evaluations. When testing is necessary, you can be sure that the proper procedures, laboratories, and quality assurance protocols are utilized, and the resulting data will be defensible. Furthermore, we have experience and procedures in place to conduct cost-effective indoor air quality testing, essential occupant survey forms, electronic data transfer, and GIS based reporting services.

Vapor Intrusion Mitigation

Based on a conceptual site model and pilot testing results, a vapor mitigation program is engineered and designed by EWMA’s team of engineers. The intent of the program is to mitigate the vapor intrusion concerns in a simple, reliable, and least cost manner that can be integrated with and not adversely impact facility operations. Our vapor intrusion mitigation design utilizes existing building features to the greatest advantage to the extent practical to minimize power consumption (if power consuming equipment is needed), and is prepared interactively with the client.
