Brownfield Redevelopment

Brownfield Redevelopment

EWMA has a long track record of working on brownfield redevelopment projects, ranging from simple property assessments and non-intrusive environmental evaluations (e.g., Phase I Environmental Site Assessments) to multi-million dollar, highly complex, investigations and remedial cleanup actions.

EWMA works across the board with the public and private sectors, including industrial, commercial, site owners, developers, government and municipal leadership to assure the overall success of their projects and for the direct benefit to their communities. EWMA, working with public and private stakeholders, provides strategic environmental, remediation and development solutions necessary to quantify costs and develops practical remedial options to gain regulatory clearance. In order to expedite remedial actions and save clients’ money, we utilize a variety innovative approaches that take advantage our decades of environmental remediation experience. EWMA’s ability to also design and integrate future site development planning into our remedial action supports our client’s overall project timeframes and redevelopment goals.

EWMA has also designed a unique remediation program, known as SECUR-IT®, that provides a guaranteed fixed-price for the remediation, which can be backed by an insurance policy to limit liability for responsible parties. SECUR-IT® allows a property owner to quantify environmental remediation costs, which can be instrumental when seeking financing for a property.

The EWMA brownfield team understands the bigger picture and also brings real estate, environmental and funding expertise to our clients and their projects!

  • Before you excavate, explore compliance attainment

Developers may not know that there’s more than one way to tackle a soil remediation project. Many assume that this kind of cleanup calls for a total excavation, carting off truckloads of contaminated soil to be cleaned or replaced entirely. However, for some projects, such an invasive and labor-intensive process may not be necessary.
